Recital at St. Johns Meadows

Seventeen students performed solos and duets for an enthusiastic audience at the St. Johns Meadows assisted living facility on Saturday, January 16. Parents of the performers provided a sumptuous reception that was enjoyed by all in the audience. We have an open invitation to perform again for this very appreciative crowd.

10-Piano Video

On Friday, January 15, several families enjoyed a big-screen showing of the 2009 International Suzuki Piano Basics 10-Piano Concert in Sacramento which was held in August. Pizza and salad were served, and the Laniak family provided bags of popcorn. Thanks to Ed Wooten for the spectacular video equipment!

Nakagawa Workshop

On January 23-24, the director of the Sacramento 10-Piano Concert, Linda Nakagawa, will again visit the Hagberg Studio to teach a workshop. Both days will be filled with masterclass lessons, and there will be a talk for parents and potluck supper from 4:30-6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Thirteen students from our studio have enrolled, and teachers are coming from Oakville, Ontario and Brooklyn, New York to study Suzuki Piano Basics by observing this event.
